Prevent mould inside a shipping container by controlling moisture at its source: place the unit on a drained site, repair leaks, load only dry goods, keep air paths around stored items, and monitor temperature and relative humidity where the contents are sensitive. Passive vents can help exchange air, but they cannot guarantee safe humidity; damp outdoor air, cold steel and wet cargo may require dehumidification, insulation or conditioned storage.
Trace the moisture that feeds container mould
Dry the container and the load before closure
Use monitoring to choose the control
Ventilation is an exchange, not a dryer
Reduce mould risk at cold container walls
Respond to visible mould without spreading it
Verify the fix through another weather cycle
Build a moisture-control plan for the contents
Describe the goods, storage duration, location, power, drainage and observed leaks or condensation. Include sensor data and photos so ventilation, dehumidification or another storage choice can be compared.
